Gunnebo Turnstile - How to Replace a Blown Fuse

Overview

The following steps can be used to examine and replace a blown fuse if necessary, in a Gunnebo Optile 220 Turnstile.  If a turnstile is not showing any signs of power, for example, if the arms do not move at all when the arm reset button is pushed, then the fuse may be blown and need replacement.

Instructions

If the turnstile arms are not moving when the arm reset button is pressed, first attempt to power cycle the turnstile power to see if the issue is resolved.

If a power cycle does not resolve the issue and no motion is detected by the turnstile arms, it could be that one or both of the fuses in the turnstile have been damaged and need to be replaced.

1. Remove the two 4mm hex screws that hold the side panel of the turnstile housing in place.

2. Remove the reset switch that is attached to the panel by pulling it straight up from its holder.

4. There are two fuses in the unit, examine both to determine if one or both fuses need replacement.

5. When powering up the lane, push back in the fuse holder and stand out of the lane, interrupting the calibration may cause wings to slam suddenly.
6. The panel must then be put back, remembering to snap the reset switch back into the holder. The panel must be inserted at the bottom first, and then pushed in at the top. The alarm will be going off while you do this.
7. Once the panel is in place, stand out of the lane to allow the alarm to clear. You can now put the 2 screws back in.
8. Press the reset switch once to calibrate the wings again. If this is not done, the wings will hit the panel when open.
