BluSKY Subscription Licenses and System Support Options

This document offers an overview of the BluSKY Subscription License model, complemented by essential BluBØX System Support options. Our discount and support structures are designed to ensure both flexibility and optimal support for your installed system.

BluSKY Subscription Licenses
  • The BluSKY subscription license model is an on-demand, pay-as-you-go, pay-for-what-you-use model just like many “as-a-service” offerings.
  • The license model is on a per facility basis. BluB0X also offers negotiated pricing for enterprise customers and multi-facility customers.
  • The license model is usage based. License pricing is typically based upon the number of users in the database, the type and number of connected devices or the usage of those devices or services.
  • Average Annual MSRP BluSKY License Pricing is shown here. Since BluSKY Licenses vary with usage please reach out to BluB0X or an authorized integrator for a quote based upon specific quantities and usage.
  • BluSKY Licenses can be contracted directly with BluB0X or through a BluB0X Certified Reseller.
  • BluSKY licenses are invoiced at the beginning of the month for the previous month’s usage.
  • The larger the number of devices or users, the lower the per-unit cost. This allows pricing to scale appropriately from small to very large systems. It also provides automatic discounting built into the pricing model.
  • Users can choose to add or remove functionality on demand as their needs change.
  • Even though the license model is usage based it typically doesn’t fluctuate much month-to-month and across the year once a facility reaches steady state usage.
  • BluSKY licenses automatically increase by 3%-5% on January 1st of every year.
  • BluBØX offers month-to-month usage billing, negotiated billing for a year commitment, and discounts for payment up front for a year, three years, and five years.
    • BluB0X offers a 10% discount for any tenant system in a base building for which we are providing BluSKY.
BluB0X System Support
  • System Support is a requirement for all customers using BluSKY.
  • System Support can be contracted directly with BluB0X or through a BluB0X Certified Reseller.
  • System support is an annual cost that can be paid monthly.
  • System Support is calculated based upon BluB0X’s published MSRP pricing, not discounted pricing.
  • BluB0X System Support automatically increase by 3%-5% on January 1st of every year.
  • BluB0X offers month-to-month billing, negotiated billing for a year commitment, and discounts for payment up front for a year, three years, and five years.
  • BluB0X offers five different support programs to meet the varying needs and budgets of customers using BluB0X hardware and software.


At a minimum, a customer must have Software Support if they are using BluSKY.

1. Software Support

a. Cost is 25% of annual BluSKY Licenses, one time software license and integration software.

b. Services include

i. System Support – Responding to support requests.

ii. BluSKY One Time Software and Firmware Upgrades – occurs as new version are available – automatically pulled down and installed locally.

iii. Ongoing Training.

iv. BluSKY Infrastructure Upgrades – occurs continuously as required and as technology evolves.

v. BluSKY Health Monitoring and Mitigation – proactive monitoring and fixing of issues raised by Azure and other tools such as Raygun.


2. Business Hours Support

a. Cost is 13% of annual BluSKY Licenses, one time software license, integration software and BluB0X installed hardware

b. Services are delivered during normal business hours

c. Excludes non BluB0X hardware

d. Services include

i. Service priority

ii. System Support – Responding to support requests

iii. BluSKY One Time Software and Firmware Upgrades – occurs when new versions are available

iv. Replacement of failed equipment including onsite labor

v. Ongoing Training

vi. BluSKY Infrastructure Upgrades – occurs continuously as required and as technology evolves

vii. BluSKY Health Monitoring and Mitigation – proactive monitoring and fixing of issues raised by Azure and other tools such Raygun

viii. Penetration Testing and Mitigation

3. 24 Hour Support

a. Cost is 19% of annual BluSKY Licenses, one time software license, integration software and BluB0X installed hardware

b. Services are delivered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

c. Excludes non BluB0X hardware

d. Services include

i. Service priority

ii. System Support – Responding to support requests

iii. BluSKY One Time Software and Firmware Upgrades – occurs when new versions are available

iv. Replacement of failed equipment including onsite labor

v. Ongoing Training

vi. BluSKY Infrastructure Upgrades – occurs continuously as required and as technology evolves

vii. BluSKY Health Monitoring and Mitigation – proactive monitoring and fixing of issues raised by Azure and other tools such Raygun

viii. Penetration Testing and Mitigation


4. Equipment Replacement Support

a. Cost is 28% of annual BluSKY Licenses, one time software license, integration software and BluB0X installed hardware

b. Services are delivered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

c. Excludes non BluB0X hardware

d. Services include

i. Service priority

ii. System Support – Responding to support requests

iii. BluSKY One Time Software and Firmware Upgrades – occurs when new versions are available

iv. Replacement of failed equipment including onsite labor

v. Replacement of core system equipment with new equipment every six years – controllers, cameras, servers, printers, NVRs

vi. Ongoing Training

vii. BluSKY Infrastructure Upgrades – occurs continuously as required and as technology evolves

viii. BluSKY Health Monitoring and Mitigation – proactive monitoring and fixing of issues raised by Azure and other tools such Raygun

5. Time and Material Support / Emergency Support

a. Cost is time and material

b. Minimum $500 cost per Support Request up to 2 hours

i. Per hour rates apply after 2 hours

c. Can be used in conjunction with Software Support on an as needed basis

d. Can be used to receive Emergency Support outside of normal business hours

i. Incurred costs are in addition to contracted service plan

Equipment Replacement Program (ERP)

A supplementary feature to the BluBØX System Support agreement, ERP guarantees the timely replacement of essential system components including PCs, servers, network video recorders, monitors, printers, access control electronics, and cameras. While some components are replaced under the standard BluBØX System Support Agreement as necessary, ERP ensures proactive, scheduled replacement. Open to all BluBØX customers, the ERP initiation date dictates the replacement timeline.
