BluSKY Privacy Policy
BluBØX Security, Inc. operates several websites and also a BluSKY mobile app (iOS and Android versions available) whose mission is to provide physical security to BluBØX customers.
BluBØX is fully committed to protecting the online privacy of its customers and of the people or businesses whose information may be entered into the website databases by BluBØX customers.
Information that is not actively collected by BluBØX is referred to as "Hosted Information".
BluBØX encourages affected people to review the following Privacy Policy statement as well as the Terms & Conditions of Use of the BluBØX websites before using any BluBØX website. The act of using a BluBØX website or its BluSKY Mobile app or accessing any information within it, indicates formal agreement by the user to all legal terms and conditions of use outlined below. If there are any comments or questions, please contact support support@BluB0X.com.
General Information
The BluBØX Security Inc. websites include BluBØX.com, BluSKY.com, BluCARE.com, BluSHOP.com and any other website that BluBØX may operate in the future, and are collectively referred to as “The BluBØX websites”. Also included is the BluSKY Mobile app, both the iOS version and Android version.
The principal purpose of these websites and BluSKY Mobile app is to provide security services such as giving physical access to occupants of a facility or to their visitors into the facility’s secure perimeter, supporting certain administrative tasks such as the management of a CCTV system or access control database, or providing tools for communication between BluBØX and its clients. Given this mission, the websites must store certain personal information about the people who occupy the facility, or people who are invited into the facility (such as visitors, contractors or vendors).
BluBØX.com - People can browse this marketing website without identifying themselves and without providing any personal information. But BluBØX does monitor traffic to the site, and its web servers collect such information as domain name, browser type, date and time of access, and pages viewed. BluBØX uses this information to identify the pages that are most useful to the users, track where it can improve its website to enhance user experience, and to prepare future content in accordance with user interests.
BluSKY.com, BluCARE.com, BluSHOP.com and the BluSKY Mobile app – Access to these websites require unique personalized credentials. Personal information must be obtained and stored in the databases for users to obtain such credentials. Furthermore, personal information will also have to be stored in the websites’ databases about people who are being invited into a facility’s secure perimeter or who shall be rendering needed services within the facility.
Personal Information
When a person needs to be admitted past the secure perimeter of a protected facility, or is selected to render certain services to people or organizations within that facility’s secure perimeter, then personalized unique credentials must be provided.
When credentials are issued to a prospective user, a Person Record containing some of that person’s personal information must be created and stored in a BluBØX database. Generally, the personal information is entered by a BluBØX website Administrator, but in some instances, the personal information maybe transcribed from records belonging to the prospective user’s employer or from records belonging to one of the employer’s customers or vendors.
This information is mainly used to identify the person, empower him/her to operate the websites or BluSKY Mobile app pursuant to the permissions that have been assigned, and provide him/her access past the secure perimeter.
Log information – If the person uses BluBØX services, its servers automatically record information that the person’s browser or app sends whenever the person visits a BluBØX website. These server logs may include information such as the person’s web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of the person’s request which may uniquely identify the person’s browser.
Personal Information - is mainly used to identify the user, empower him/her to operate the websites or app pursuant to the permissions that have been assigned in the user’s Person Record, provide him/her with the websites’ information and services, respond to the user’s inquiries, provide him/her with access into the secure perimeter, and / or maintain a mutual relationship between users.
Accessing and Updating Personal Information
When a person becomes a user of BLUBØX services, BluBØX will generally provide that person with access to his/her personal information so inaccurate data can be corrected, or deleted if it is not otherwise required to be retained for legitimate business purposes or by law.
BluBØX asks users to identify themselves and the information they wish to access or have corrected or removed before processing such requests, and BluBØX may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup media), or for which access is not otherwise required.
In any case where BluBØX provides information access and correction, BluBØX performs this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. People should contact BluBØX directly if they have questions or concerns about their personal information. People who are invited to become users receive an e-mail invitation to log into the BluBØX site(s) immediately after their Person Record has been created. This invitation specifies the site’s URL and indicates that their user name is their e-mail address. By selecting “Forgot my Password” on the log-in screen, new users can specify a unique password that is only known to them.
Thereafter, persons with log-in credentials are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their user name and password. Users are responsible for all uses of their password, whether or not authorized by them. In the event of any unauthorized use or their user name or password, users must immediately: 1) inform BluBØX, and 2) proceed to modify their password.
Transmission of Personal Information
It is BluBØX’s policy to not transmit, store or exchange any consumer-related information including but not limited to Social Security numbers, Driver’s License numbers, State- issued Identification Card numbers, financial account numbers, debit or credit card numbers.
Users must agree to not use the BluBØX websites to transmit, store or exchange any consumer-related information including but not limited to Social Security numbers, Driver’s License numbers, State-issued Identification Card numbers, financial account numbers, Debit or Credit Card numbers. Furthermore, users must warrant that they have all the required permissions and licenses that authorize them to use, store and transmit the personal data that they enter (the Hosted Data) - or that is entered on a user’s behalf - into any of the BluBØX website databases, and that these permissions and licenses authorize BLUBØX to do the same.
The transmission of data over the Internet by its nature entails the use of systems that are under the control of third parties. BluBØX will work to prevent any violation of the security provisions of such systems during the transmission of BluBØX stored data, but BluBØX cannot exercise control over such systems, or the security of the data that is being transmitted by such systems.
Protection of Personal Information
BluBØX shall: Take reasonable steps to protect all information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
Install appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure information from loss, misuse, access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Not share personal information with third parties without prior consent of the User. Take appropriate measures to protect personal information that is stored in BluBØX website databases. Take necessary steps to make sure that the personal information stored is accurate.
Provide ways for users to access their personal data as required by law - so they can correct inaccuracies - except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the privacy of the information in question or where the rights of other people would be violated.
Regularly review how BluBØX complies with meeting these privacy promises, and commit to providing an independent method for the resolution of any complaints relating to its privacy practices.
BLUBØX only processes personal information for the purposes described in the specific services notices or policy statements. Such purposes include:
Providing BluBØX’s products and services to its users, including the display of customized content
Auditing, researching and analyzing in order to maintain, protect and improve BluBØX services;
Ensuring the technical operation of the BluBØX network; and Developing new services.
As BluBØX is a passive recipient of Hosted Information, BluBØX takes no active part in collecting such information other than as described above.
BluBØX staff may access the Hosted Information on occasions to authenticate backup and restore processes, or to verify that applications are running correctly.
Choices for Personal Information
When a user signs-up for a particular service that requires registration, personal information about this user shall have to be entered into the BluBØX website databases.
BluBØX will not collect or use sensitive information for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, unless it has obtained each user’s prior consent.
Users may decline to submit personal information to any BluBØX service but this may prevent BLUBØX from providing those services.
Some of BluBØX’s services may have different procedures to access, correct or delete users' personal information. Users should contact BluBØX directly if they have questions or concerns about their personal information.
Information Security and Secure Transactions
BluBØX has implemented various security measures for the purpose of protecting its users’ personal information against accidental loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, and any other unlawful form of processing.
These measures include periodic internal reviews of BluBØX’s data collection, storage and processing practices, and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where personal data is stored.
When a user profile is created to assist with logging-into a secure portion of a BluBØX website or BluSKY Mobile app, the user’s personal information benefits from the protections of Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) technology. BluBØX’s web servers have been enabled with SSL technology to automatically encrypt its users’ information and help prevent unauthorized parties from viewing users’ personal or financial information during a secure session. This is one reason why users must enter a unique user name and password each time they access their account information online or place a purchase order through a BluBØX website.
In addition, BluBØX restricts access to personal information to BluBØX employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
BluBØX provides its customers with functionality that allows them to also restrict access to the personal data that they may have entered into the databases themselves (the Hosted Data), but BluBØX cannot be held responsible for the particular procedures that are implemented by its customers for the protection of the Hosted Data.
It is BluBØX’s policy to not transmit, store or exchange any consumer -related information including but not limited to Social Security numbers, Driver’s License numbers, State-issued Identification Card numbers, financial account numbers, and Debit or Credit Card numbers.
When accessing a BluBØX website, users agree to not use the System or Services to transmit, store or exchange any consumer-related information, including but not limited to Social Security numbers, Driver’s License numbers, State-issued Identification Card numbers, financial account numbers, and Debit or Credit Card numbers.
Users warrant that they have all the required permissions and licenses to use, store, transmit the Hosted Data, and that these permissions and licenses allow BluBØX to do the same.

Cookies
When a user visits a BluBØX website or mobile site (collectively “a BluBØX Site”), the site sends one or more “cookies” to the user’s computer or mobile device.
Cookies are small bits of text that are downloaded to a user’s computer or mobile device when the user visits a website. A user’s browser sends these cookies back to the website every time the user visits the site again so it can recognize the user and can then tailor what the user sees on the screen.
Cookies are an important part of the internet: they make using websites much smoother and affect useful features of websites.
BluBØX uses two types of cookies:
Cookies that are needed to provide the service the user has asked for: Some cookies are essential so the user can navigate around the Site and use its features. Without these cookies, services cannot be provided. These cookies do not gather personal information about the user for marketing or tracking where the user has been on the internet. Here are some examples of these critical types of cookies: a) keeping a user logged-in during his/her visit; without cookies the user would have to log in on every page he/she navigates to; or b) some cookies are “session cookies” which make it possible to navigate through the Site smoothly. These cookies are automatically deleted after the user closes his/her web browser.
Cookies that improve the browsing experience: These cookies allow the Site to remember choices made by the user, such as a language preference or regional settings, and they provide improved features. Here are a few examples a) remembering a user’s preferences and settings, or b) remembering if the user has accessed the Site before. First-time users, might see different content than return users.
If a user decides not to receive cookies from a BluBØX Site, then BluBØX cannot guarantee that the site will work as quickly, that it will be as responsive, or that some of its features and services will work as well as if cookies had been accepted.
BluBØX does not use cookies to track which pages have been visited either on its website or on others, or to share any information about a user’s use of a BluBØX website with third parties.
Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically, but users can usually alter the settings to erase cookies or prevent their automatic acceptance. Generally users have the option to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is issued, or to reject all cookies.
Third party vendors, including Google, may show BluBØX ads on sites on the internet.
