Card Swipes not Working for Wireless Locks
Overview
In this article we discuss the limitations of the simulate card feature when using a wireless lock.
Cause
The Schlage wireless locks conserve power by going into rest mode whenever possible. While this does do a lot for conserving power and keeping the cost of batteries low, it prevents us from being able to use the simulate card command. The command to transmit the card credential does not have the authority to wake the device in the same way a release or unlock command would.
