BluSKY Software Model and Approach to the Market

BluSKY Software

As a software company, we create two types of software; usage-based software and one-time software. The usage-based software is Cloud-based, varies with usage and is invoiced monthly in areas. The one-time software is typically on-premise (but sometimes in the Cloud) and performs the job of integrating with various types of hardware. There is usually a correlation between the usage-based software and the one-time software. The usage-based software covers redundant Cloud-based infrastructure, the user interface, cyber-security, product development, automatic upgrades and software support of both usage and one-time software.

One Time Software Licenses

Wireless/Integrated Lockset Integration Software – this is the integration software we developed to interface with the various integrated locksets (ASSA ABLOY and Allegion). It is installed on a local PC (NUC) or in the Cloud. If we supply the lock we reduce the cost of the software license which is why there are two licenses. One if we supply the lock or one if there is a takeover situation or the lock is provided by a third party.

NVR Integration Software – this is the software that is installed locally on each NVR to interface a video system to BluSKY. It is based on the number of cameras being integrated. It is independent of the NVR manufacturer.

DDE Reader Integration Software – this is the additional software needed to integrate with DDE systems when the reader is connected to the DDE system instead of the security system. It is based on the number of DDE Keypad readers. It is independent of the DDE manufacturer.

Reader Integration Software (Platform Conversion Software) – this is the Mercury software that runs in the Cloud. When we sell the Mercury boards we bundle this software with the Mercury boards but when we are doing a takeover we don’t get that software because we haven’t sold the boards, so this is the software when the boards are sold by a third party. We try to make things easier for the integrator by making this reader based instead of board-based.

Elevator Integration Software (Platform Conversion Software) - this is the Mercury software that runs in the Cloud. When we sell the Mercury boards we bundle this software with the Mercury boards but when we are doing a takeover we don’t get that software because we haven’t sold the boards, so this is the software when the boards are sold by a third party. We try to make things easier for the integrator by making this elevator-based instead of board-based.

Intercom Master Station Integration Software – This is the intercom exchange software in the Cloud that we have developed. It is based on the number of intercom Door stations. It is independent of Intercom manufacturer.

Bundled One Time Software

BluBØX will often bundle its one-time software and hardware together to make it easier to purchase. Examples of this are:  

DDE Integration Software – bundled with DDE kits

Mercury Integration Software – bundled with PACS Kits and individual boards

Person Reader Integration Software – bundled with Person Reader

Driver's License Scanner Integration Software - bundled with Driver's License Scanner

Future One-Time Software Licenses

We are continuously evolving BluSKY and it's capabilities, so we need to continuously evolve our pricing model as well. Below are some potential one-time licenses we see forthcoming with our current development efforts.

Person Reader Intercom Integration Software – This is the intercom software and interface for the Person Reader to be used in a residential application.

Person Reader Self Check-In Integration Software - This is the Visitor Self Check-In software and interface for the Person Reader to be used in a residential or commercial application.

Driver’s License Scanner Integration Software – This is software to integrate directly with Driver's License scanners.

Video Analytics Software – This software provides in-depth analysis of video coming from a video sub system. Output is used in AI, Rules, events, reporting and visualization.

Data Analytics Software – This software provides in-depth analysis of data coming from each type of subsystem. Output is used in AI, Rules, events, reporting and visualization.

Biometric Reader Integration Software – This is software to integrate directly with 3rd party biometric readers.

Alarm System Integration Software – This is software to integrate directly with alarm systems.

Central Station Integration Software – This is the DICE integration. A medium priority at this time.
