To frontally face this device users would have to :

  • Block the door they are trying to open

  • Face away from where they want to go

Avoid Interference between PRs

Infrared Projector Interference

Interference can occur if the SR300 is capturing infrared patterns projected from multiple infrared projectors simultaneously.  Low interference assumes a user is in front of each SR300 and comfortably spaced apart.

Review of Turnstile Setup Operations

  • A: Door Setup (@ 59")

    • Good depth range from 47" to 71"

    • Requires high mounting height

  • B: Turnstile Setup (@ 41", 0.9m range)

    • Good depth range from 47" to ~65"

    • Does not work well for taller that ~60"

    • Requires tall people to lean over the PR (need to tile head 60+ degree down)

    • Leaning over th PR can cause hair to cover the face

    • Recommendation: Not feasible as a product

  • C: Turnstile Setup (@41", 1.2m range)

    • Good depth range from 47" to ~71"

    • High risk of accidental recognition (ID A, grand access to B)

    • Requires tall people to lean over the PR (need to tilt head 50+ degrees down)

    • Leaning over the PR can cause hair to cover the face.
