Mercury M5-COM
M5-COM is a Mercury device for replacement of the Casi Power and Communications controller board. As with the entire Mercury M5 Bridge family of controllers, the M5-COM is built with a matching form factor to the Casi Micro5 line of access control hardware allowing a fast “screwdriverless” change over and easy migration of a Casi client infrastructure to any Authentic Mercury software partner. While the Casi Power/ Communications board is required in each Casi enclosure, this is not the case with the Mercury M5-COM. The M5-COM provides RS485 communications to support other downstream Mercury bridged M5 enclosures. Each downstream bridged enclosure need only a M5-COM for complete Mercury functionality. (Up to 8 M5-COM’s can be supported by one M5-IC)
Application Notes
The M5-COM is an integral component in the Mercury M5 Bridge family approach to more cost effectively migrate any Micro5 hardware legacy to the flexible, feature rich Mercury access hardware. This ensures the customer an Open future based on Authentic Mercury controllers.
- Promotes the chaining of multiple M5 enclosures
- Supports Authentic Mercury controller
