BluB0X Target Release Plan

Overview

This page is BluB0X's best effort to convey its short term BluSKY release plans.  The objective is to share product evolution plans with customers at a finer detail then found in the Product Road Map.  This page will change constantly.   We will reflect plans for new functionality, the next sprint or the next formal release on this page. We will update this page as priorities and plans change: some items may move to the next quarter and others may be pulled back, so keep coming back to the page

Q2 2019
  • Who's In report ported to the Data Warehouse - Done 3-29-2019
  • Enabling each occupant to customize the start and end time for the visitor to their occupancy.

    This will include:

    • Configure End-Of-Business-Day on a per-occupant and per-system basis…occupancy level trumps system level because it is more granular.  This is used to limit the Expected Departure Time of Visitors/Vendors as laid out in item 2 below as well as to set the card expiration time.
    • Configure Default Visit Length (in minutes) – this will auto-populate a new field “Expected Visitor Departure Time” in the form with a value that is the expected arrival time plus the configured Default Visit Length.  The requestor can override this “suggested” departure time, but cannot extend it beyond the End-Of-Business-Day UNLESS: you have item 3 granted to you
    • Added new  permissions -> “Can Exceed End Of Business Day For Visitors” and ““Can Exceed End Of Business Day For Vendors”
    • Configure “MaximumInstancesPerVendorRequest” and/or “MaximumInstancesPerVisitorRequest” which will constrain end users  (if they add recurrence) to something that does not violate this maximum.  Feedback loops will tell them the last day that the visitor/vendor will be allowed in and the recurrence “pattern” will be modified automatically (typically with an “until x date” restriction added) so that it is in compliance and the end user understands the limit.

This logic is being added to both the Visitor Requests and to the Vendor Requests (under the Requests menu and under Control menu).
