Module 101 - Hardware

In Module 101 we review the hardware components used in BluSKY. For seasoned installers familiar with Mercury products this may be mostly review but we also discuss some of the different options for purchasing hardware.
  • EP and LP Series Controllers

Controllers are instrumental to making the connection to BluSKY. Controllers also contain the database that will be used to make real-time decisions for granting access. This section catalogs the Mercury Controller currently offered by BluBØX and provides some insight into their capabilities.
    • SIO Boards

This section discusses how specialized SIO Boards are able to extend the reach of the Controllers.
      • LifeSafety Power
        No image available
LifeSafety Power provides a suite of unified power solutions to power, control and monitor Mercury Security products. This portion of training dives into the LifeSafety Power products that support BluBØX's offering of Mercury devices.
        • Enclosures

Enclosures are crucial to protecting the access control system hardware. The enclosures we offer are all high-grade steel and capable of storing and protecting the critical elements of any access control system.
          • BluBØX Edge Kits
            No image available
The EP1501 Edge Kits provides the best solution for smaller or distributed systems. The ability to communicate over ethernet and to be powered by Power Over Ethernet(PoE) allows the installer to quickly deploy a system using the existing networking infrastructure. With all of the convenience of an Edge System you still are able to support 17 Readers, 130 Inputs and 130 Outputs, depending on the SIO Boards you select.
            • Kits Using the EP1501
              No image available
BluBØX kits that use the Mercury EP1501 are intended for smaller systems. The EP1501 is capable of handling up to 17 Readers, 130 Inputs and 130 Outputs, depending on which SIO Boards are selected. The Controller is also capable of handling up to 250,000 users and can have up to 8 card types. In this section of training, we take a look at some of the kits that we offer based off the Mercury EP1501.
              • Kits Using the EP1502
                No image available
BluBØX kits that use the Mercury EP1502 are intended for larger systems. The EP1502 is capable of handling up to 64 Readers, 520 Inputs and 516 Outputs, depending on which SIO Boards are selected. The Controller is also capable of handling up to 250,000 users and can have up to 8 card types. In this section of training, we take a look at some of the kits that we offer based off the Mercury EP1502.
                • Demo Kit
                  No image available
BluBØX ships Demo Kits to its Integrators for live physical demos. This kit is meant to be used by anyone hoping to understand how BluSKY works. We hope that people will use the kit for training exercises and explore how BluSKY interacts with the hardware.
