Edit an IPS Point

Overview

IPS Points are Inputs that are used for the Intrusion Prevention System(IPS). This article will instruct you how to make some of the various edit you may need to perform for an IPS Point. 

Edit an IPS Point's Name

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the Name field to input the new name for the IPS Point
5. Confirm changes with the  button.

Edit an IPS Point's Input

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the Input drop down menu to select the correct Input the IPS Point is using
5. Confirm changes with the  button.

Edit an IPS Point's IPS Point Zone Type

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the IPS Point Zone Type drop down menu to select the correct zone type
5. Confirm changes with the  button.

Toggle an IPS Point's Chime

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the Chime toggle to change the Chime to on or off
5. Confirm changes with the  button.

Edit an IPS Point's IPS Point Monitoring Mode

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the IPS Point Monitoring Mode drop down menu to select the correct monitoring mode
5. Confirm changes with the  button.

Edit an IPS Point's IPS Point Entry Delay Mode

1. Log in and navigate to  Main Menu-> Setup -> System Setup-> IPS Points
2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list
3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen
   • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted
4. Use the IPS Point Entry Delay Mode drop down menu to select the correct mode
5. Confirm changes with the  button.
