Power Analytics

Overview

BluSKY Power Analytics analyzes 44 power parameters every minute and over time determines if things are within normal operating conditions.  These are the Power Analytic Instances that can be used in our Rules Engine.  For example: trigger an event if the controller power is outside the 12 volt range for 10 minutes.

Note: This screen is not currently accessible in BluSKY.  In one of our next updates we will enable customers to view and create their own custom power analytics.

Definitions

Name Description
Name The name of the analytic that can be used in a Rule.
Measurement What is being measured.  The power supply, battery, power relays...
Type What is the type of data being monitored.  Is it measuring an upper limit, a lower limit, a time limit, a value...
Value What is the value currently set that is being evaluated for an action to be taken.
Duration (Sec) How long will this test have to be positive before the event will trigger.  For example the network connection has to be disabled for 10 minutes before an event is triggered.
Resent interval (Sec) How often should this event be triggered.  Ex. trigger the event again if the network is still down in 60 minutes.
Enabled Is this Power Analysis Instance enabled.
Edit This button will bring up the edit dialog to change any of the fields above.
Add This button will bring up the dialog to create a new Power Analysis Instance.  Only BluBØX can create new instances.  This will change in a future release.

Definitions

Power Analysis Instance Description
Power Device Connection Fault Monitors that LSP Controller is connected to BluSky and logs the data. Duration and resend intervals for this analysis should be at least two or more longer than Configuration Poll Interval, System Poll interval and Power Mngmt Poll Interval that are configured for this controller. Activates when the data was not log at least once in the duration interval.
Power Controller Fault Count Exceeded 5  
Power Controller Communication Errors For 10 Minutes Activates when LSP controller has any problems communicating with connected devices
Power Controller Relay 1 State Change On Activates when Relay 1 on RB board is energized.
Power Controller Relay 2 State Change On Activates when Relay 2 on RB2 board is energized.
Power Controller Relay 1 State Change Off Activates when Relay 1 on RB board is de-energized.
Power Controller Relay 2 State Change Off Activates when Relay 2 on RB2 board is de-energized.
Power Controller Relay 1 State Change Activates when Relay 1 on RB2 board changes state from energized to de-energized or in reverse.
Power Controller Relay 2 State Change Activates when Relay 2 on RB board changes state from energized to de-energized or in reverse.
Power Data Not Received For 60 Minutes Activates when no data is coming from the LSP Controller
Power Controller CPU Exceeded For 10 Minutes Activates when controller's CPU exceeds the preset limit
Enclosure Temperature Low For 1 Hour Activates when ambient temperature in the enclosure is below the preset limit.
Enclosure Temperature High For 1 Hour Activates when ambient temperature in the enclosure exceeds the preset limit.
Power Controller Service Required Activates when Service Due (in Controller table 2) changes to "Yes"
Enclosure Tamper Fault Triggered Activates When Tamper data changes to "Fault"
Power Module Data Not Received Activates when LSP controller does not send the data from M8 module to the server.
Power Module Communication Errors For 10 Minutes Activates when the M8 module data comes with error from LSP Controller
Power Module Fire Relay Status Inactive Activates when Fire Alarm Relay input becomes inactive
Power Module Fire Relay Status Active Activates when Fire Alarm Relay input becomes active
Power Module - Power Not Ready Activates when any channel Power Ready state is set to "No"
Power Module Zone Status Change Activates when Zone status changes.
Power Module Output Power Limited Activates when Power value on any channel below the preset value.
Power Module Output Power Exceed Activates when Power value on any channel exceeds the preset value.
Power Module Output Voltage Limited Activates when Voltage value on any channel below the preset value.
Power Module Output Voltage Exceed Activates when Voltage value on any channel above the preset value.
Power Module Output Current Limited Activates when output current falls below the preset limit at least on one of the channels. 
Power Module Output Current Exceed Activates when output current is above the preset limit at least on one of the channels. 
Power Module Control Input Status Change to Active Activates when any control input status changes to Active
Power Module Control Input Status Change to Inactive Activates when any control input status changes to Inactive
Power Supply Output Voltage Limit Activates when battery voltage is below the preset value
Power Supply Output Voltage Exceed Activates when Voltage value is above the preset value.
AC Power Fault Activates when AC Fault Status changes to 'Yes'
Power Supply AC Loss Count Exceeded 5 Activates when AC Fault Count exceeds the preset value
Power Supply Battery Current Limit Activates when battery current is below the preset value
Power Supply Battery Current Exceed Activates when battery current is above the preset value
Power Supply Battery Voltage Limit Activates when battery voltage is below the preset value
