Email Template to Request Floor Plans

Subject: Request for Floor Plans – [Project Name / Building Address]

Dear [Customer Name],

As we begin preparing for the BluSKY system design at [Building/Project Name], we will need electronic floor plans to ensure the system is set up accurately and works to its full potential.

Floor plans are more than a formality — they’re the foundation of the BluSKY platform. We use them to:

  • Build the interactive maps inside BluSKY that show where every device is located.
  • Display what areas each camera covers and connect camera views directly to map locations.
  • Define familiar areas (like lobbies, stairwells, or offices) so BluSKY can describe activity in meaningful terms.
  • Provide insights into how people move through the building (entry, exit, dwell, travel paths).
  • Support emergency planning, evacuation, and life-safety procedures.

The more accurate and complete the floor plans are, the more useful and intelligent your BluSKY system will be.

What We Need From You

  • For base building projects (entire building such as office towers, hospitals, schools, multifamily, or corporate campuses):

→ All floors, basements, roof, and site/grounds plan.

  • For tenant-only or multi-floor projects (a single company or partial building):

→ Floor plans only for the occupied floors and any shared access areas where devices will be installed.

File Format Preference

  • Preferred: CAD (.DWG), DXF, or BIM files (with all layers included, most up-to-date).
  • Fallback: PDFs (vector preferred) or high-resolution images (JPEG).

Please send the requested files to [Contact Name + Email] at your earliest convenience. Providing these files quickly will help us keep the project on track and avoid delays.

Thank you very much for your help — and for giving us the building foundation we need to make your BluSKY system as accurate, intelligent, and powerful as possible.

Best regards,
