Delegate Points

Overview
An Administrator can delegate points to another Occupancy or Vendor Company. Delegated points appear in the list of points that an Administrator of the receiving Occupancy or Vendor Company can add to a person's access rights or to Access Levels. For instance, in a multi-tenant office building, the Property Manager can delegate public access points such as the main entrance or the turnstiles to Occupancy Administrators and, in turn, they can assign these points to their employees.
To edit a delegated point, you must select either the Delegated Recipient or the Delegated Item links in the row of interest.
Delegate Points List Definitions
Name | Description |

System | The System the point is being delegated from. |
Type | The type of point being delegated. |
Delegated Item | The name of the point being delegated. |
Delegate Recipient | The name of the Occupant or Vendor that is receiving control of the delegated point. |
Type | The type of Delegate Recipient. |
Date Inserted | The date this entry was added to BluSky. |
Inserted By | The name of the login who created this entry in BluSKY. |
Date Updated | The date this entry was last updated. |
Date Deleted | The date this entry was disabled or deleted from BluSky. |
Deleted By | Name of person who disabled this entry. |
Delegate Points Setup Actions
Will bring you to the create screen. Use this if the entity does not exist in the BluSKY database. Be extremely careful not to create duplicates with slightly different names. | |
View will bring you to the view screen. Use this to look up information on existing entities and access Audit Info. | |
NOTE: To edit a delegated point, you must select either the Delegated Recipient or the Delegated Item links in the row of interest. The edit button is currently disabled. | |
Delete allows for removal of the entity from the BluSKY database. | |
Expand adds additional columns to the Integrator information displayed on the List page. The icon now displays as Shrink. | |
Shrink restores the List page to its original column display. |
Search Criteria
Name | Description |
---|---|
System | Name of the access control system. |
Search Text | This field is used to limit the number of rows listed in the list box below. To use simply type a string of characters or words. Please note you will only see items for which you have the permission and access rights. We recommend a search first, even when you are creating a new entry. |
View | View will bring you to the view screen. Use this to look up information on existing entities and access Audit Info(2). This page also has a link to Edit. |
Submit | Starts search based on the criteria selected in the two prior steps. |
Reset | Clears all fields in order to start a new search. |
