Visitor and Vendor Enhancements

Known Issue: If you create a visitor request (a contiguous request), the system would create multiple instances a provide a new visitor credential for the person every day. (EX: Visitor X is scheduled to visit for a total of 30 days, each day a new credential was provided) In turn, this would exhaust visitor credentials, as each instance was considered a new credential. When the visitor's end date ended, all credentials would then expire, thus creating a controller and database loading issue.

In this release: A recurring visitor will generate one credential in BluSKY.  No matter the type of credential, the visitor will receive an email every day (for the period of time the credential is valid for- ex: If a visitor is invited for 30 days, the visitor will receive an email every day for 30 days. If mobile credentials are to be included, each email will contain their mobile credential. This credential is now considered one unique credential within BluSKY.

Role Detail -  Know what permissions are in a role in detail. See if the roles you created have the ability to create, edit, view, and/or delete. This will help you to compare different roles to see how they differ for any given system.

SIEM Integration

BluSKY now has an integration with SIEMS. Security information and event management (SIEM) is an approach to security management that combines SIM (security information management) and SEM (security event management) functions into one security management system. The underlying principles of every SIEM system is to aggregate relevant data from multiple sources, identify deviations from the norm and take appropriate action. For example, when a potential issue is detected, a SIEM system can log additional information, generate an alert and instruct other security controls to stop an activity's progress. SIEM is important because it makes it easier for enterprises to manage security by filtering massive amounts of security data and prioritizing the security alerts the software generates.
