Edit a System

Overview

The System is the base unit for configuring an access control system. This article provides instructions to edit an existing System.

Edit a System's Name

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Name text field to enter the new Name for the System.
  5. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.

Toggle System Base Building Field

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Base Building System toggle to specify if the system is a base building.

  1. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.

Edit a System's Integrator

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Integrator drop down menu to change the Integrator.

  1. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.

Edit a System Required Pin Length

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Required Pin Length field to enter a minimum pin length.
    • Note: The maximum length of a PIN is 15
  5. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.

Edit a System's Customer

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Customer drop down menu to select the correct Customer.

Toggle Unique Pin

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Unique Pin toggle to determine if all PINs need to be unique.
  5. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.

Edit a System's Default Badge Template

  1. Log in and navigate to  Systems. Main Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Systems
  2. Select the entry you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Click the  icon in the lower left side of the screen.
    • Note: If the edit button is not available ensure that only one entry has been highlighted.
  4. Use the Default Badge Template drop down menu to select the default Badge Template.
  5. Confirm changes with the saveBtn.png button.
