Connecting the AD-300 to the Controller
- Connect the RS485 from the AD-300 TDA- to the TR+ (Clk) of the Mercury controller and the TDB+ to the TR- (Data) of the Mercury controller.
- Connect the AS-300 power pair to a 12V 250mA power source or install batteries
Configuring AD-300
- Use the Schlage SUS door configuration utility to set the RS485 comm address and other variables, like card technology etc.
- Link to how to use Schlage SUS document (SUS User Guide 6.3.3.pdf) - Shaun to take care of. Download AD-300 User Guide
- Set "Direct Communication to the host" on the AD-300
- Set comm address to match address defined in BluSKY.
- The first AD-300 should be set to Comm address 01.
Configure the AD-300 in BluSKY
- Define a controller (Point to controller BluINFO article)
- Change default RS485 baud rate to 9600
- Save
- Creating SIO board
- Board Type: AD300Lock
- Set Comm Address to the setting created in "Configuring AD-300" section above.
- Save
- Create 1 Output
- Create 1 Reader
- Create 2 inputs (DPS and REX)
- DPS normally closed
- REX normally open
- Create Portal
- Sync controller
Note: You can mix AD-300 and PIM400 on the same RS-485 chain provided that they have different comm addresses. Do not connect any other board types to this RS-485 chain.
