Eleven Times Square upgraded from a Client Server to Cloud architecture and realized significant end-user benefits by the move. The building is now able to take advantage of the practically unlimited computer and storage resources of the BluBØX Cloud running in Microsoft Azure data centers. The expanded computer capability is being used to run real-time data analytics and artificial intelligence to proactively monitor the building and alert building staff. The move to the Cloud also enables the building to significantly reduce the number of onsite servers and PC workstations required to operate the system. This translates to less maintenance headaches and fewer security vulnerabilities. The move to the BluBØX Cloud also provided a significant hardening of the security infrastructure. All hardware in the Cloud is redundant in any given data center. All data is continuously and automatically backed up so data is never lost. Data is protected against cyber attacks by Microsoft's outstanding 24/7 Cloud Services group. And data is stored in multiple different data centers far away from each other to prevent the impact of a man-made or natural disaster. Try pricing out that system infrastructure on the next job and see what it costs. Eleven Times Square is also now positioned for continuous improvement. Instead of getting maybe one software upgrade a year they will get one every few weeks automatically. As technology continues to expand the capabilities of the system it will automatically expand in scale and capability all made possible with Cloud architecture. Instead of a closed system accessible by only a few people, the new system is available from any device, anywhere at any time. The building population is part of providing security for their employees, guests and vendors in the most efficient and collaborative fashion possible.
