Mercury MR16IN Series 2 & 3 Serial I/O Controllers

MR16In

Authentic Mercury MR serial Input/output (SIO) devices represent the secondary level in Mercury’s distributed architecture. The devices offer flexibility to our OEM partners, ensuring they can choose the controller that best fits their needs.

The multi-device MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO interface panels are dedicated to point control and monitoring and enable to support 16 general-purpose input circuits. The circuits can be individually set for sensitivity ranges, timing parameters (normally-open or normally-closed operations) and end-of-line resistance values. They can also be declared supervised and non-supervised. Two programmable relay outputs are configurable for fail-safe or fail-secure operation, supporting “On,” “Off”, “Pulse”, and “Repeating Pulse” commands.

With these powerful control-point capacities onboard, the MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO can control outboard devices; they can also be activated by the condition of selected system devices, either locally or regionally, without host intervention.

The MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO are ideal choices for an interface panel that provides the ability to monitor high concentrations of inputs combined with low requirements for output control.

Application Notes

The Mercury MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO is an essential component that supports Mercury’s flexible, building-block approach to access control system design. The MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO provides the capacity to link, control and respond to an array of sensors. With its RS-485 connectivity, the MR16IN Series 2 & 3 SIO can be clustered or distributed to best suit each installation environment.
