    • BluBØX Technologies
BluBØX is purpose-built from the ground up to combine the 9 key disruptive technologies that define the future of security systems - Each technology contributes a key set of features and benefits that when combined, sum to greater than their parts. Today, only a few competitors use even one of the 9 key technologies, let alone combine all 9 into one product offering like BluBØX.
    • BluSKY Software
BluSKY Software provides a one of a kind unified security solution that integrates: Hardware and Database Management Access Control Alarm Management and Intrusion Detection Video Surveillance Visitor and Vendor Management Biometrics and Elevator Access Control all under one database and one web interface.
    • BluSKY Features and Benefits
BluSKY is hosted and protected in multiple Microsoft Azure data centers and all communications to and from BluSKY utilize secure connections. So, the data is significantly more secure than if it were stored on-premises. BluSKY is accessed via any browser, therefore no mobile apps or local client software needs to be installed or regularly updated. Because the system is “responsive”, it adapts automatically to any display size making the user experience and capability the same across all device
    • BluSKY Licenses
70 BluSKY licenses are available today allowing customers to tailor their use of the product. The licenses are grouped into 14 primary security categories shown in blue. Each category contains one or more BluSKY licenses. 26 licenses are required or primary for an application; they are shown in green. 35 licenses are optional, but augment a primary license; they are shown in orange. 9 licenses cover special situations, and are shown in red.BluSKY Licenses
    • BluCHIP Hardware
BluCHIP hardware is non-proprietary and open and can be installed and supported by any qualified Reseller. All systems are plug and play and IP-based. At its core, BluCHIP uses Mercury controllers, Milestone recorders, LifeSafety Power enclosures and Intel processors. All hardware is available individually or as kits. BluCHIP uniquely supports 100% of Mercury’s hardware and commands, as well as CASI and SoftwareHouse replacement boards. It includes a line of Person Readers, DDE
    • The Person Reader
The Person Reader is all-in-one intelligent reader, intercom, camera and visitor entry device. It is available in two models, with a touch screen or a mechanical keypad, and supports low and high frequency HID Prox, MiFARE CSN, HID Bluetooth, 2-way stereo audio and SIP communication. It has a 2-D 2 MP color camera and a 3-D IR depth camera.
    • BluBØX Product Differentiation
There are twenty major points of differentiation between BluBØX and competing security platforms. They derive from 3 BluBØX strategic decisions: Cloud-Based, Mobile First, and Open Hardware. The first rating column illustrates how Client-Server based systems that rely on Proprietary Hardware fail to compete on nearly all counts: Yet this is the architecture that underlies many prominent systems in the industry today. The next rating column shows a very small competitive improvement for Clien
    • Product and Services Roadmap
BluBØX updates its software every two weeks and has a very precise view of when and how its products and services will lead the industry. BluBØX maintains and openly publishes a Product and Services Roadmap that describes product enhancements for the next 18 months. Every BluBØX product evolves every quarter. Details of each enhancement are available to the public in BluINFØ. System Integrators, End Users and Consultants can see when and where enhancements will be introduced on the BluBØX ro
    • BluBØX Security & Convenience
In the past customers had to choose between Security and Convenience. The greater the security the lesser the convenience, or the greater the convenience, the lesser the security. However, with BluBØX products and services, customers can finally have both. Secure and convenient access through any portal can now be biometric and hands-free with the BluBØX Person Reader, or it is made easier by allowing any credential that is convenient. BluSKY Local Servers and Software
Sometimes You Need Something Local. In this presentation we discuss the software and local servers that may be necessary to build a fully functional BluSKY system.
    Pages: 8
    • BluSKY Local Servers and Software
      BluSKY Local Servers and Software
    • Local Server Overview
All BluB0X locally installed software is automatically updated and managed by BluSKY. All 3rd Party applications (e.g. Milestone XProtect) are installed and updated per the 3rd Party manufacturer’s specifications.
    • Locally Installed Software and Function
All locally installed software is installed as a service. *Only the Local Server Manager Service needs to be installed on the Local Server. It automatically calls up to BluSKY, determines what additional software is needed, pulls it down from BluSKY and installs it. The only exception is 3rd Party software applications like Milestone XProtect.
    • Local Servers and Software
      Local Servers and Software
    • Local Server List & Configuration
The first step in the Local Server configuration process is to define the Local Server in the BluSKY database as shown on the left below. Once the Local Server is defined in BluSKY it can be configured by installing the Local Server Management Service on the server and assigning a Local Server Role as shown on the right below. If the server is connected to the internet it will automatically download and install the proper software.
    • Local Server Roles
One or more Local Server Roles are assigned to Local Servers during the system configuration process. Examples of Local Server Roles are: 1. KONE Destination System Server and 2. LSP Monitor and Control Server. Local Server Roles define all applications and databases required by the local server to run the software including Tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Schema.
    • Server Diagnostics
Any windows based device that installs the Server Manager Service can be monitored and managed remotely using BluSKY Server Diagnostics. This includes seeing installed operating systems, applications and locations, installed versions, assigned versions, memory allocation, CPU utilization, etc. It also includes remote control capabilities such as rebooting, starting and stopping services, copying files, deleting files, etc. Local Server Diagnostics is also used for manually updating locally insta
    • VPN / Remote Management Gateway
The VPN / Remote Management Gateway is a BluSKY Subscription License that provides a secure, easy and cost effective way to remotely manage and monitor security devices on a network. It provides a method of connecting to network devices using a browser without having to open up firewalls or run dedicated software.
